1. Who these terms are with

Para (“the app”, “we”) is published by Aliv Studio, an independent developer. These terms are an agreement between you and us. They are not an agreement with Apple or Google — see section 12.

By downloading or using Para you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. What Para is — and what it is not

Para is a manual expense tracker. You enter your own expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, bills, subscriptions and personal loans, and Para organises and totals them for you.

Para is not, and must not be relied on as:

• Financial, investment, tax or legal advice. We are not licensed advisers, and nothing the app displays is a recommendation.
• A bank or payment service. Para holds no money, moves no money, and connects to no bank or card. It never initiates a transaction.
• An authoritative record. Every figure comes from what you typed. If you enter something incorrectly, Para will faithfully total the incorrect figure.

Decisions you make about your money are yours. Please do not treat a number on this screen as a substitute for your bank statement or a professional.

3. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Para on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under the rules of the store you installed it from.

Para and its design, code, name and artwork remain ours. This licence does not transfer ownership of anything.

4. Subscriptions, the free trial, and billing

Para has no free tier. Access to the app requires an auto-renewing subscription, offered as weekly, monthly and yearly plans.

• Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the plan you chose begins and you are charged.
• Price. The price shown on the subscription screen at the time of purchase is the price that applies, in your store’s currency. Prices vary by country and can change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before that period ends.
• Who charges you. All payments are taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through the account you bought with. We never see or handle your card details.

5. Cancelling, and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your store account — App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions. Para’s Preferences screen links straight there.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not shorten or refund the period you are already in, and you keep access until that period ends.

Refunds are issued by the store, not by us, under that store’s own policy — Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google through your Play order history. We have no ability to reverse a charge we never received. If a store refuses a refund you believe is fair, write to us anyway and we will help where we can.

6. Your data

Your financial entries are stored in a database on your own device and are never sent to us. What little the app does transmit is anonymous. This is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Because we hold no copy of your records, backups are your responsibility. Para can export your whole database to a file (Preferences → Backup & Restore); please use it before changing phones. If you delete the app, lose the device, or wipe it without a backup, the data is gone and we cannot recover it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, attempt to defeat the subscription, redistribute or resell it, or use it unlawfully. We may end your licence if you do.

8. Updates and availability

We may update Para to fix bugs, improve it, or keep it working with new operating-system versions; updates are covered by these terms. We may also change or discontinue features. We try to keep the app working but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and an operating-system or store change outside our control can affect it.

9. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, Para is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

Nothing here excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot legally be excluded. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, your statutory consumer rights apply regardless of anything in this section.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of Para — including any financial decision made in reliance on it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Ending these terms

You may stop using Para and delete it at any time. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 6, 9, 10 and 12 survive.

12. App store terms

These terms are between you and us only. Apple and Google are not parties to them and are not responsible for Para, its content, or any claim about it.

• Support and maintenance are our responsibility, not the store’s. Contact paraapp.support@proton.me.
• If Para fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, who may refund the purchase price; beyond that refund, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Any claim that Para or your use of it infringes intellectual property, or breaches a law or consumer-protection rule, is our responsibility to address, not the store’s.
• You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US restricted-parties list.
• You must comply with the terms of the store you installed from. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example when a feature or a plan changes. The current version always lives at this address with its effective date. Continuing to use Para after a change means you accept it; if you do not, cancel your subscription and stop using the app.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory law of your own country, and may bring proceedings there where local law gives you that right.
